RIGHT SIZE, RIGHT FEELING?
What is it about our fatalism at buying innerwear that is ill fitting and sometimes two sizes bigger? Is it that women want to make their anatomy look bigger than it actually is? Or have they resigned themselves to accept that a lifetime will go wearing a bra that does not make them feel good inside? The cups are big, the bands are tight and one is always trying to figure out why the straps are never sitting tightly on the shoulders.
They keep slipping off, prompting many women to find private spaces to adjust their bras. The right to feel good is also about figuring out how to find the right bra. Research is telling us that close to 30% women globally wear ill-fitting bras. When asked, they simply said they did not do not know their correct size. For innerwear stylists, this insight means pushing more women to think a lot more about themselves. As a woman maybe the first step is to end that inner laziness and begin the change…
